I have a passion for computers, immersive fiction, history, electronic music, and contemplation/meditation. By studying computer engineering, I want to turn one of them -computing- into a profession.
To achieve my professional goals, I became a self-taught student of computer engineering. I study a lite version of what students in computer engineering learn at university. I touch general subjects like mathematics and physics only slightly and instead focus on those core subjects that are essential to do the professional activities I pursue.
Drawing of electrical components and PCB layouts for computers in CAD-like drawing applications.
Development and maintenance of operating system-level programs.
Development and maintenance of applications for consumers.
I go the extra mile to make my computer use as ethical as possible.
I reuse older hardware and software as long as they have productive value.
I resist authoritarianism, discrimination, violence against animals, and association with war & repression, in the IT world and beyond.
I communicate using secure and private applications and I protect my online identity and data.
I aim to understand and control my software and hardware, I prioritize open-source & free software, and I avoid engaging with third parties who display disrespectful trade practices.
